Transparency note

Provider menus and included mailboxes vary by plan and over time. Verify details on the currently offered product page.

Decide what your business email must do

Start with the people and addresses you need: individual name-based accounts, shared sales or support inboxes, and any aliases or forwarding. Check whether the chosen hosting package actually includes mailboxes for the full term or requires separate email hosting and renewal.

Choose your mailbox provider deliberately

You can use your web host's email service or a separate hosted-email provider. Compare mailbox limits, storage, multi-factor authentication, spam protection, recovery, mobile compatibility, team management and long-term cost. A website and its business email do not need to share the same provider.

Set up records without breaking existing delivery

Find the authoritative DNS zone before making changes. MX records route incoming mail; SPF helps specify authorized sending hosts; DKIM attaches signatures; DMARC sets policies and reporting for authentication alignment. Copy the exact values required by your chosen email vendor; do not guess or add competing SPF records blindly.

Create accounts and secure access

Create each mailbox with a strong password and multi-factor authentication where available. Assign recovery contacts and test mailbox access on desktop and mobile. For support or sales addresses, define who owns incoming messages and how escalation or access removal works.

Test both directions and watch deliverability

Send and receive test messages across several external email providers; validate the sender domain and reply path. DNS changes can take time to propagate. Check spam folders and correct the underlying DNS or authentication errors rather than assuming all email problems are fixed by changing hosting.

Plan migrations safely

If moving website hosting, do not automatically replace all DNS nameservers without recording the email records. If moving mail providers, back up mail and contacts where supported, verify the new destination, create users before cutover and monitor undelivered messages.
